BONNYVILLE – An unexpected obstetric physician shortage at the Bonnyville Health Centre will lead to a three-day closure of the hospital’s obstetric department.
The temporary closure will begin on Aug. 11 at 7 a.m., and will be in place until Aug. 13 at 5 p.m., according to Covenant Health.
Expectant mothers are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS calls will be rerouted accordingly.
Meanwhile, other service areas remain open at Bonnyville Health Centre.
