FlixBus taking passengers from south of Calgary to Edmonton

FlixBus is now offering bus service between several major Alberta centres.

Long-distance bus service is connecting Alberta's two major cities.

FlixBus launched its operations in Alberta on April 5, offering inter-city service with stations based out south from Lethbridge, with stops in Claresholm, Fort Macleod and Okotoks and then in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton.

Calgary’s station is at the Southcentre Mall with stops in Claresholm and Fort Macleod based out of gas stations in those communities, the Orr Dr. Tim Hortons in Red Deer and 11525 Jasper Ave. in Edmonton.

The service includes free WiFi and power outlet service.

FlixBus is a partner of Greyhound in the United States and has been operating out of B.C., Ontario and Quebec.

Greyhound had shut down its Western Canada service, in 2018.

Tickets can be purchased through flixbus.ca and greyhound.com and through its mobile apps.
