New COVID-19 death reported in Cochrane as cases climb

The number of active COVID-19 cases increase by four in the past week as another death was recorded.

The province's case data now, as of Nov. 30, shows Cochrane has 62 active cases and a total of eight deaths.

This loss comes on the heels of the province's first recorded Omicron variant, as announced by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw in a Nov. 30 update. 

Rocky View County has a total of 63 active cases with 11 deaths recorded since the pandemic's start. 

Airdrie currently has 68 active cases with 22 deaths associated. 

To the south, Foothills County has 43 active cases and Okotoks cases dipped to 89 from 132 on Nov. 23.
