Rocky View County report reveals normal precipitation levels so far in 2024

Precipitation levels normal for much of southern Alberta so far in 2024.

Historically, April marks the beginning of the wet season for Central and Southern Alberta.

According to the Rocky View County agricultural fieldman report tabled at the Apr. 25th Agricultural Services Board meeting, this year is no different.

Thirty and 180 day precipitation trends have revealed normal to above normal results when compared to previous data, and it seems that seeding conditions will be adequate for agricultural producers this year.

Agricultural officials are actively monitoring moisture trends to maintain a full scope of seeding conditions.
