Cochrane steer wrestlers Straws, Baillie and Tanner Milan hit the dirt with mixed results at the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) from Nov. 8 through Nov. 12 at Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton. The trio got off to a rough start on Nov.

The Cochrane Bantam Lions football washed away a disappointing regular season and managed to bring home the Calgary Bantam Football Association (CBFA) Division 3 title after defeating the Calgary Bantam Colts 48-30 in the final game.

Hometown boy and Kelowna Rockets forward Dillon Dubč has been named captain of Team WHL (Western Hockey League) ahead of the CIBC Canada-Russia Series taking place Nov. 6 through to Nov. 16.

Registration is new open for the annual Kimmett Cup Memorial Pond Hockey Tournament taking place Jan. 19-21 at Mitford Pond. Seven out of the possible 56 teams have already registered for the event.
