The Airdrie CFR Chemicals Midget AAA Bisons featuring five Cochranites took on the Canadian women’s Olympic team on Oct. 3 in the Esso Series to prepare the Olympians for the upcoming Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Two weeks after a game that left people confused, angry and upset, the Rocky View Sports Association finally came down with a ruling on the Sept. 26 football game between the Cochrane Cobras and the Bow Valley Bobcats.

Revenge. That’s the one word that would describe the Bow Valley Grizzlies provincial final match up with the Leprechaun Tiger Rugby Club, who defeated the Grizzlies in the final game last season.

After a pair of losses to start their regular season, the Cochrane Generals bounced back in a big way after a road win against a tough Airdrie Thunder team on Sept. 29, while trouncing the Ponoka Stampeders in their home opener on Sept. 30.
