Two suspects are in custody after a series of break-ins targeting businesses in southern Alberta.
In April, RCMP began investigating break-and-enters at cannabis dispensaries, liquor stores, convenience stores and other businesses in rural Alberta.
Police said stolen vehicles were used to commit the break-ins and they occurred in various locations in southern Alberta.
The suspects began targeting homes in Banff and Chestermere as the investigation was underway, police said.
Two suspects, found in possession of two stolen vehicles, were arrested in May by the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit.
James Tylor Stuart, 38, a resident of Calgary, was charged with offences including break-and-enter, possession of stolen property, wearing a disguise to commit an offence, failing to comply with release orders and having break-in tools.
Stuart remains in custody and will appear at the Albert Court of Justice in Okotoks on May 30.
Chaylee Eagle Plume Bruised Head, 36, a resident of Blood Tribe First Nation, was charged with break-and-enter, possession of stolen property, wearing a disguise to commit an offence and failing to comply with release orders.
Eagle Plume Bruised Head remains in custody and appears at the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on May 16.
