Final Touch Art Studio and Gallery hosted its first annual Winter Art Show and Sale on Nov. 16.

The show featured nine artists from Final Touch who were looking to sell their art work, while three other companies – The Rustic Olive, Thrive Life and Peacock Jewellers Studio and Supply – also participated.

There was also live music, door prizes and a silent auction to help support the Cochrane Activettes.

Final Touch Art Studio and Gallery owner, Sharon Kulhavy, said the event was very successful not only for the studio itself, but as well for the others involved in the evening.

“There was over 200 customers that came through the studio, we sold 22 pieces of art so the artists are really happy,” Kulhavy said.

“The music was fantastic and we got nothing but compliments about the set up and the other people that came, which were the patrons from Rustic Olive, Peacock Jewellers and Thrive life were all really pleased with how the evening went.”

“The overall boost that we got on social media was really positive and the people who came through the doors at the studio had a really great time … I really couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

It also gave the artists, as well as the three local companies, more exposure than they’ve ever experienced before.

“There were so many people who didn’t even know that Rustic Olive and Peacock (Jewellers) were there. They sold a lot of product,” Kulhavy said.

“As for the studio, we had a lot of new faces come in who were surprised that we were even located here … we got a lot of exposure as well, which was our No. 1 goal.”

Final Touch is looking to make the sale a yearly event, while also looking to do a show in the spring.

“We’re definitely going to be doing one around Mother’s Day or Easter and we want to continue this where we do a winter sale as well as a spring sale,” Kulhavy said.

“Hopefully it becomes an annual event that people come out and enjoy.”
