The Venue Bar and Grill will be hosting a pair of local bands when they welcome the Silly Wrabbit on March 30 and the Steve McQueen Band on April 6 and 7.
SILLY WRABBIT
Silly Wrabbit has been entertaining audiences for more than 21 years, and have made regular weekend appearances at the Wildhorse Pub in the Deerfoot Inn and Casino as well as private parties and corporate shows. The band mixes up a healthy does of ‘70s and ‘80s Top 40 songs as well as ‘90s hip hop and big hits from the early 2000s, while also occasionally playing some ‘80s pop and metal.
The Calgary-based band is made up of drummer Ryan Kerkes, guitarist Brad Barber and lead vocalists Al Clarke and Brad Perveseff, who will add a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour and choreography to keep the crowd entertained all night long.

STEVE MCQUEEN BAND
The Steve McQueen band has been based in Calgary for the entirety of their music careers. Made up of Steve McQueen, lead vocals, percussion and harmonica; Daryl Hornach, bass and back up vocals; Dave Mazil, guitarist; and Keith Campbell, drums, percussion and keyboard, the group has been recording and building a fan base by becoming a tight group that gives unforgettable live performances.
The band, which McQueen started, has been bringing a tonic blend of power soul and arena rock style garnering rave reviews from audiences for the last few years. The group plays a hybrid style of classic rock influences with a modern approach, creating something new and improved taking today’s rock and roll to a different level. Band members also write their own lyrics that have been described as hypnotically melodic yet bravely diversified.
The Steve McQueen Band recently released their new single titled Give Me Strength, which is now available on all digital retailers and streaming services including ITunes, Google play, Apple Music and Spotify, while also playing on over 40 radio stations. The group will be releasing a new single called Unsung Hero will be released in the new few months.
