New Year's Eve is around the corner and plenty of Cochrane establishments will be doing their best to help you get 2019 off on the right foot. The Venue will be busy on the big night as it'll be hosting a New Year's Eve gala and dance party from 5:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. The 2019 starter party will feature an amazing mix of great vocals, spectacular playing and showmanship all wrapped into a fantastic rock 'n roll experience known as Suicide Blonde reborn as Hot Shotz. Hot Shotz delivers the rock and pop hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Tickets are $40 which includes a five-course dinner. The Texas Gate will be hosting a party of its own with a prime rib and lobster buffet dinner along with a live comedy show, followed by a midnight buffet and champagne. There will also be dancing and music with a local D.J. Tickets range from $15 to $75 for this event that will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end just shortly after 2:30 a.m. Killarney's Family Pub will be hosting Rob Skeet for its countdown party that will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 2 a.m. They will also have a special drink and food menu for this night only with tickets priced at $10.
Rob Skeet is a live entertainer with more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Great entertainment for lounges, pubs, weddings, tournaments, and parties. Featuring a wide variety of music styles including: rock, country, pop, sing-along, and some stuff that’s just plain silly. Playing guitar and keyboards and working from a centre of electronic gizmos, Rob uses his boundless energy to create an evening of fun and merriment. Over the years, Rob has gained a large following of die-hard fans. Whether it’s your first or fifty-first time, Rob’s show is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Elsewhere, Half Hitch will be hosting its Brew Year's Eve Party. The event will take place from 10 p.m. until closing time and will feature a DJ, champagne toast at midnight and no cover charge. For New Year's Eve, Ducks on the Roof we will be doing a prime rib dinner for $25, no tickets required. There will be a DJ, party favours and champagne at midnight. Ducks will also be screening the Flames and Sharks as well as the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championships - Canada and Russia game. The Canadian Brewhouse will also join in on the fun by hosting its Happy Brew Year party from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. Tickets are going for $20 and will include access to the pizza buffet starting at 11 p.m., a champagne toast at midnight, drink specials and a chance to win free wings for a year. New Year's Eve at Rockies Tavern and Grill in Bragg Creek will feature Lou Rye who played with Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix. No cover charge or tickets. They are making homemade cabbage rolls for a dinner special along with drink specials. To finish up, Bragg Creek's Powderhorn will join in on the fun as they are offering $19.99 steak and seafood starting at 5 p.m. and closing at 9 p.m. Go for dinner before you go out for a night on the town.
