Dear editor:
It has been a busy start to the 4H year for the Jumping Pound 4H Club.
First, I would like to congratulate our executives: Cassidy Matthews, Maddy Sibbald, Brandon Fraser and Jared Couch.
I also want to thank all of our members who assist on our various committees, our parent leaders and volunteers and all the individuals who give their time to help make our club such a success...together we make an awesome team.
So far this year, our club has held its weigh-in and a judging clinic. Thank you to the Matthews family for hosting this year. We have also held our annual farm tours.
Let me just say that Jumping Pound has some awesome steer projects coming. Everyone’s animals are right on track for this time of the year. If you are looking for some terrific beef in the summer months seriously consider speaking to the members of our club.
Good job and congratulations to everyone for working so hard. Not only are the steers looking good, but our breeding projects are also sure to be a great success this year.
We also contributed this fall to the Ronald McDonald Magic House with various donations. Several of our members have attended regional and district events, like multi-judging, curling and the Hitmen game.
Currently we are preparing for our communication events, which start in February. Stay tuned for more Jumping Pound 4-H news.
