The Cochrane Activettes Food Bank is pleased to announce the addition of an egg program to our current food hamper program. This is made possible by Egg Farmers of Alberta (EFA) presenting Alberta Food Banks with a cheque for $30,000 in support of EFA’s 2014 social responsibility program. The donation will enable Alberta Food Banks to order more than 12,000 dozen eggs for its network of 60 food banks across the province.
This will be a great source of protein and nutrition for our food hamper recipients.
The Cochrane Activettes are now in need to purchase a refrigerator or have one donated. As well, we need clean, empty egg cartons. Please leave egg cartons in the local grocery stores’ food bank donation bins. If anyone can help with a refrigerator, please contact 403-932-9290.
