Aid healthy living

Dear editor: I am writing in response to letters from last week about the pool/curling facility. Of course, I don’t like the traffic in town but I also don’t like that most kids in Cochrane are found in Airdrie or Calgary pools.

Dear editor:

I am writing in response to letters from last week about the pool/curling facility.

Of course, I don’t like the traffic in town but I also don’t like that most kids in Cochrane are found in Airdrie or Calgary pools.

Does anyone remember before Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre? Was the idea of having three ice arenas, a gymnasium, gymnastics and an indoor field not met with similar outcry? Yet more sports have been opened to families because of these.

I look forward to the expansion and seeing more people utilize a better pool and curling facility with an added area for social functions and receptions. In a time of “Right to Play” and “Sport 4 Life” maybe spending money on healthy living is the right choice.
