Bethany Cochrane does not deserve provincial funding for expansion!
As long as I can remember Bethany Cochrane’s Long Term Care Facility has been ranked as one of if not the worst in the Calgary region (the last HQCA survey puts Bethany Cochrane at 36th of the 38 long-term care facilities in the Calgary region).
Why would the provincial government even look at providing funding to more than double the size of one of the worst facilities in the province? This is not kindergarten – failure should not be rewarded because if it is then failure becomes acceptable.
Before any funding application is even considered, Bethany Cochrane should have at least a plan and a commitment to improve.
The people of Cochrane and the residents of Bethany Cochrane deserve much better.
