Boushie column was an insult

It is important that a newspaper report the facts. Ms. Isaac's op-ed on the Boushie case conveniently left out all of the facts except the heritage of the individuals involved thus misleading your readers.

The article reads in a way that would lead one to believe that the people of rural Saskatchewan are radical racists looking for an opportunity to kill natives. The facts of the case point to a very different series of events, which lead to an unfortunate outcome, an outcome that was justified by our judicial process.

Home invasions, thefts and carjacking in rural Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba are becoming commonplace. Many unsuspecting people have fallen victim to the flat tire or broken down vehicle ploy. Predators use these ploys to gain entry past your locked doors and once they are inside of your home or vehicle you are overwhelmed and become another one of those unfortunate people whose good will cost them their lives.

Although everyone has a right to their opinions, do your columnists have the right to manipulate the facts of an issue to serve their radical propaganda?

Ms. Isaac has insulted rural communities and the judicial system of our country and you provided the platform for her to do so in our community.
