I have been reading with interest, the plans to implement a new transit infrastructure. I think it's a wonderful forward thinking idea and considerably well overdue.
Connecting all communities with transit will ease the burden on our close-to-breaking-point current infrastructure and help so many people. However, I'm incredibly sad that no one has considered connecting the communities in Cochrane with the town centre.
In the economic downturn, not everyone can afford more than one car for the main breadwinner, which leaves families struggling to get into town for basic services. How about a community bus that goes between each community taking people into town and back?
Just one single bus would suffice initially. The plan is to give each community a village feel with access to basic resources...but meanwhile we wait...and wait...and wait.
