On Oct. 29, Enviros Wilderness School and Ghost River Rediscovery, along with community volunteers from Waiparous, Cochrane, Canmore and Calgary descended on the Ghost Public Land Use Zone for the second Great Ghost Clean Up. Over several hours we hauled more than five heaping truckloads of garbage out of the many random campsites and impromptu shooting ranges that have sprung up along the TransAlta road into the Ghost. We'd like to thank everyone who came out and gave us a hand, along with Centrica Energy for donating the two disposal bins, TransAlta and Spray Lakes Sawmill for feeding the volunteers, Enviros and Ghost River Rediscovery for providing trucks and staff time and Sharon MacDonald for organizing and coordinating the event. Stay tuned for the spring edition of the "Great Ghost Clean Up", and please...if you find yourself enjoying that magical corner of the forest, leave it a little better than you found it. Much appreciation, Jeff Couillard (Enviros) and Adam Ross (Ghost River Rediscovery)
