What a weekend for the newly minted Cochrane Curling Club! We had three world class curlers in our little town by the Bow and they were so impressed with our new curling rink and its fantastic ice.
Russ Howard, Grant Odishaw and Laine Peters were all in town this weekend to put on three fantastic one-day curling clinics. Russ Howard, an Olympic gold medallist, called our new facility, "world class" and couldn't say enough positive things about the place.
Looks like if you build it they will come and they will love it. Thanks to Barb Gibson and Ken Weisner from the Curling Club as well as Spray Lake Sawmill Family Sports Centre.
Well done and money well spent!
