After almost 25 very successful and rewarding years serving the residents of Cochrane and Calgary and tourists from all over the world, Peggy and Gary Krol of Traditions: A Country Store have decided to move on to the next phase of their lives and hand over the reins to a younger and more energetic generation.
We sincerely want to thank all of our friends and customers for their support over the years. Traditions was not just a business for us, it was a refuge during some of our darkest times when we lost our son, Matt Krol.
It was a place where friends could come to just enjoy some quiet time.
It was a safe haven for many who just needed to talk to someone and they found Peggy was always a willing and patient listener.
We watched so many of the “kids” of Cochrane grow up and start families of their own and then bring in their kids to say “Hi.” Traditions was so much more than a store for us, it was a way of life.
On May 1, a new owner will start a new “Tradition.” We urge you to offer her the support we enjoyed over so many years, and we genuinely thank everyone for a quarter century of letting us be a small part of your lives.
