In addition to naming a highway after Jack Tennant through Alberta Transportation, I feel the Town of Cochrane should step up and honour him with a statue. Feeling extremely privileged to speak at Jack Tennant's day two years ago, my only thought was to say "Jack is the best" end of story, but I had more to say. His writings were truly inspiring, They made you feel good and drew you back for more. He did not back off to anyone. He played no favourites, pulled no punches and stood up for the underdog. Need I say more about his charitable work to help need families through the Christmas Sunshine Fund? Looking at his legacy from a younger person's perspective, I feel a statue in the downtown core proudly displaying his well-worn fedora will have more of a lasting impact on future generations. Jack, I know you love to play snooker and I am still lobbying the Town of Cochrane for an expanded seniors' centre on the ground floor in the downtown area to include a snooker table. Looking forward to playing some games with you when my time comes. Bill Gibbons
