I do not know Coun. Morgan Nagel personally but I can imagine that his offer to bring John A MacDonald's statue to Cochrane was part of his "secret agenda" to start another tourist attraction besides the only one we have now namely - MacKay's Cochrane Icecream parlor. Coun. Nagel might have envisioned a historical park of statues and busts of out of favor fallen politicians and dictators such as Stalin - Lenin - Moussollini - Hitler - Marshall Tito - General Franko - Juan Peron - etc as well as some who are still tolerated such as Justin Trudeau in his visit to India outfit. Such a collection would not only be a first in Canada but could also be a history lesson for the younger generation who presently is only interested in texting and what's on twitter . I can see the tourist busses rolling in and souvenir stands opening up which would certainly put Cochrane on the map. Do I hear someone saying: You cant be serious!! Hans G Kusche
