I am concerned about a proposed drawing of the Highway 1A/22 overpass. It is located on the Alberta Transportation website. Links will allow you to see the proposed drawing.
It is essentially going to add at least two more sets of lights on the east/west lanes, giving a total of five sets of lights between Heartland and Gleneagles. I cannot begin to describe this monstrosity of an interchange – it needs to be viewed.
If this is what is going to be built, scrap it, save and invest more money to build a proper and more free flowing design. There is more than enough room on the north side of Highway 1A to accommodate a better design.
Spend the money to do it right, or at least let people see and decide if they want their tax dollars invested in this project.
