No positives to carbon tax

Lin Gackle’s letter “carbon tax rebate done right” completely and dramatically misses the point. I don’t care how the carbon tax rebates are calculated or how much any member of the province receives.

Lin Gackle’s letter “carbon tax rebate done right” completely and dramatically misses the point. I don’t care how the carbon tax rebates are calculated or how much any member of the province receives.

The fact is, these rebates are simply a return of a portion of the money that was stolen by the “motley Notleys” from Albertans in the first place! To suggest that the rebate calculation is fair is ludicrous.

Another important point is missed in its entirety; just how many more public employees did Premier Rachel Notley’s Government hire to administer the carbon tax theft and establish the rebate program, regardless of fairness? Has anyone determined how much this absolutely unnecessary tax grab has cost Albertans?

This Alberta carbon tax fiasco is just another socialist program to ensure that the NDP can further its declared objective of the redistribution of wealth and is a scam of the highest order. Albertans are letting Notley get away with it, soon to be followed by the Federal Liberals, who are nothing more than socialists “in blue suits.”

I must agree with Lin Gackle’s final statement; “finally a political party that doesn’t discriminat.” Of this there is no doubt, the NDP will absolutely not discriminate; “the carbon tax is a theft from all Albertans without exception.”

Now in Nora Schmitdt’s letter, “the sky is not falling” accurately describes the absurdity of the implementation of a carbon tax, which is nothing more than a tax grab. The pollution generated by Canada is a paltry 1.65 per cent of the world’s entire pollution. China generates fully 26 per cent of global emissions (and continues to build coal fired power plants); the USA generates almost 18 per cent while India isn’t far behind. And I haven’t even counted the number of coal fired power plants in the rest of the world.

American sponsored NGOs, actors from La-La land Hollywood, David Suzuki (who is being supported by Canadian taxpayer grants); First Nations (who are also being subsidized by Canadians) and many other groups with their heads in the sand are all leading naďve Canadians into believing this gibberish.

Are Canadians fully aware that our blind national government imports about 600,000 barrels of oil, much of it “Blood” oil, every year from countries like Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest human right abusers in the world. Which alslo produces many of the terrorists beheading people in the Middle East? I urge Canadians to read Leif Wenar’s book Blood Oil. It will open your eyes! In addition, much of this oil is being imported into Eastern Canada from the North Eastern US. And you thought Obama disapproved of the Keystone XL pipeline for environmental reasons?

All this is going on while much of Alberta’s own natural resource will continue to remain landlocked for at least another two years!

Canada is being sucked into this environmental trap by our governments, both provincial and federal, because we are an easy mark as a naďve nation! Wake up Canada!
