Noisy vehicles are a problem

I was prompted to write this email after reading your article "Resident wants noisy vehicles off the road." I would like to thank Kevin Burns for taking the time to bring this to Council's attention ... well done.

I was prompted to write this email after reading your article "Resident wants noisy vehicles off the road."

I would like to thank Kevin Burns for taking the time to bring this to Council's attention ... well done. I am a resident of Sunset Road and, like many of my neighbours, have had to adapt the practice of closing my windows in summer (when I would rather enjoy the evening summer breeze) because of the noisy vehicle(s) referred to in your article. It wakes up our families in the middle of the night and impacts our enjoyment of this wonderful part of Alberta.

Having said that, I would like to appeal to the common sense of the individual(s) who own such vehicles. There are so many problems in the world, our town council and local police have far more important things to do with their time than work on a strategy to discourage your actions that clearly affect others. In fact, an intelligent young person like you with the mechanical aptitude to make such modifications to a vehicle could put this talent to use in so many productive and helpful ways.

Sincerely,

Celia Kennedy
