Dear editor:
I was intrigued by the announcement of a discussion on ‘global warming’ (since changed to ‘climate change’) scheduled for Sept. 11 in Cochrane.
Seriously, these folks live in Alberta and are surprised about climate change! Did they miss the summer snowfall in August?
Although global temperatures have halted for the past 18-plus years, this group hysterically demands “practical solutions to growing human problem.”
Dr. Ivar Giaever, a Nobel Prize-winner for physics in 1973, recently questioned the basis for rising carbon dioxide fears, explaining, “When you have a theory and the theory does not agree with the experiment then you have to cut out the theory.” Sounds very logical! He continues, “Global warming really has become a new religion. Because you cannot discuss it. It’s not proper.” That is, questioning it is not allowed.
Sorry, I don’t have enough faith to believe in the United Nations’ global warming scam. Can somebody please step up and stop this politically-correct insanity. The emperor has no clothes!
