Regarding the Jan. 11, edition of the Cochrane Eagle I would like to commend Rhonda Spindler for her very informative article on the proposed new interchange at 1A and 22 highway. The diagram provided is quite detailed, something even a government bureaucrat will get. The free flow system is a safer interchange. Whenever you have traffic lights you have a higher rate of intersection collisions and just think of all the harmful C02 emitting into the atmosphere from stopped vehicles within the intersection.
It just seems a shame the proposed project was delayed to an election year. I trust the next provincial government will make the correct decision. Ron Prangnell
