Dear editor:
I wanted to comment on the Rocky View Handibus article from last week asking for more money for supporting its services.
First off, I want to say what a great job they do, as I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment.
Being a new mother, finding out I could no longer drive was scary; how do you get to doctor appointments, allow your child to be active and social when I can’t take transit, walk to services in the cold winter and afford a taxi ride all the time?
We need to show our gratitude and support these organizations that truly make a difference in people’s lives. This Handibus locally helps a wide variety of demographics gain independence and meet basic needs.
