Things are well underway for the Cochrane Activettes Share your Christmas campaign.
The donation boxes are distributed, locations secured, schools, businesses and church groups are all working together to collect items for our Christmas Hampers this year.
Light Up had a tremendous turn out. We had the most children we ever had visit with Santa at our tent hosting Santa. A great big Thank you Light Up committee for another amazing beautiful festival! We gathered lots of food and got a good start to our fundraising efforts.
Our objective for the Share your Christmas campaign is to give food and gift hampers to those in need. We need food and gift item donations to continue coming in, but we also need funding. Our goal is to raise $100,000 of funds before end of this year in support of Share your Christmas and the Cochrane Food Bank.
The funds will help provide perishable food items food cards to be available to those in need. Please consider making a donation.
The Cochrane Events Society is hosting its annual Stuff a Bus campaign on Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of Canadian Tire. We want to see that bus get STUFFED, with non-perishable food items and gift items for all!
Also the CP Holiday Train will be in Cochrane on Dec. 12 at 2:45 p.m. Volunteers will be at both events accepting donations.
