I wish to thank the Cochrane Town Council for the Oct. 22 discussion on Bylaw 25/2018 with respect to the Jones Estate Re-Zoning and then the resultant direction given to the Town of Cochrane Administration. The decision by Town Council to rezone this property as R-1 and allowing only one residence to be built on the property demonstrates that our representatives listened to and understood the concerns of the adjacent residents of GlenEagles Sub-division. It indicates that the Administration of the Town of Cochrane, to be effective, must recognize the rights of citizens of Cochrane and independently of developers, properly engage us before recommending developments. This is our town and the citizens concerns have to be addressed so developments have a minimal disruption on our future quality of life.
