I want to personally thank Tim Giese and Andrew Watson for helping me organize the Cochrane Wide Clean Up.
This has been in planning for a while and something that I have wanted to see done in Cochrane for the past year.
We managed to collect 136 bags plus loose trash from 12 different neighbourhoods in Cochrane, as a first time event I was very pleased.
I would like to thank numerous volunteers from people who manned stations, to garbage pickers, to community associations, service groups and even some companies band together to clean up our beautiful town.
To Town Council and Senior Staff who took time out of their busy schedules to join the event as well as help me promote it. Thank you very much for the kind words and support.
We will be planning another clean up in October and I hope everyone in town can spare a few minutes to pitch in and make Cochrane litter free.
