Who will you be?

Dear editor: When the new aquatic/curling facility is built, I hope to see you there.

Dear editor:

When the new aquatic/curling facility is built, I hope to see you there.

Will you be the family playing together in the pool on Saturday afternoon?

Will you be the hockey parents watching your kids on the arena ice?

Will you be one of the seniors curling in the afternoon?

Will you be the local artist displaying your wares at an artist’s show in the new multi-use facility space?

Will you be an oilsands worker on days off playing shift league hockey with your buddies?

Will you be the 10 year old learning to curl on the mini curling ice?

Will you be a senior meeting a friend for a coffee after you enjoy exercising?

Will you be the group of moms who organize an indoor playground society?

Will you be the five year old learning to skate and dreaming of figure skating?

Will you be the coach of the next Alberta Junior Curling champions?

Will you be teaching a class in the multi-use facility?

Will you be the parents who are thankful that they can watch one child on the ice, while another is in the pool without driving between venues?

Will you be the town councillor who is ready to try curling on Sunday night?

Will you be a new Cochrane resident who just realized that this is the heart of the community?

When the new aquatic/curling centre is built, it will strengthen the community bringing us together to play, laugh, learn something new and cheer each other on.

I’ll see you there.
