Dear editor:
I am writing in regards to a little shop in downtown Cochrane. To be more specific, I would like to acknowledge the wonderful lady who owns this store, Peggy Kroll.
I have lived in Cochrane for approximately 25 years, and although Mrs. Kroll closed her store for a brief time, she reopened and relocated her business adjoining to MacKay’s Ice Cream. This marvellous store is Traditions A Country Store. My sole purpose in writing this is to recognize a friendly, delightful, soft-spoken lady who runs this little boutique store, with amazing gifts for every occasion. Too often in life we don’t acknowledge people who contribute to our community in a quiet, sincere, trustworthy fashion, and thus being the reason I am doing so.
Next time you are out doing your gift shopping, or just treating yourself, you must stop by this store.
I have on several occasions had the pleasure of being waited on by Mrs. Kroll, (she is very ‘hands on’ with the business), and her heart-warming, genuine approach is so refreshing no matter what topic you discuss with her.
(We once started talking about the weather, and before I knew it, we were talking about life in general). I wanted to express my gratitude to her, and I felt that by putting it in the local paper, it would be a small but effective way to do so.
In our fast growing, ever changing community, it is so satisfying to feel that this store still exudes what Cochrane is all about: a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Thank you for this, Mrs. Kroll, it is truly appreciated.
Mrs. R. Harris
