An event to help couples take the next step in their relationship is returning to the RancheHouse with the 2024 Cochrane Wedding Fair on Mar. 10.

Admission is $5 per person, and the fair will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available is available on-site and at the overflow parking lot. A shuttle bus will be running from 11 a.m. to 4:30 between the overflow lot and the RancheHouse for anyone unable to park at the main lot.

Organizer of the event, Kattie Pochapsky, said the Cochrane Wedding Fair has been running since April 2015 and continues to grow in popularity every year, only facing a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Last year, we had 500 attendees, and we anticipate a similar turnout for the 2024 show,” Pochapsky said.

With vendor space completely sold out for this year’s event, Pochapsky said a variety of businesses local to the Cochrane and Calgary area will be showcased at this for attendees.

“We have 75 vendors that have registered for the show,” Pochapski said. “There’s quite the variety, so everything from catering services, DJ’s, photographers, event planners, florists, venues, and all the things that you would need to bring your day together.”

She added that couple will have plenty of things to do and have the chance to take advantage of exclusive sales and incentives exclusive to the event, alongside. The Cochrane Wedding Fair will also be hosting a giveaway, where one lucky couple can win a $200 gift card of the winner’s choice at the show.

“Brides still looking for ‘the dress’ can visit the gown sale hosted by Everthine Bridal or visit the gown sale hosted by Cochrane’s local Mountain View Bridal to connect with their owner, Jess, and view their gorgeous collection on display,” Pochapsky said.

Everything from food tastings, cake samples, and even the opportunity to sip on wine, Pochapski said the wedding fair aims to both serve as a fun day for engaged couples, while also allowing businesses in the wedding industry to network.

As a prime location due to the stunning surrounding scenery with the Foothills and Rocky Mountains, the abundance of local amenities makes Cochrane a desirable wedding destination.

“Additionally, it is conveniently located close to Kananaskis and Canmore for couples looking wanting to sneak away to capture mountainscape photos before returning to their reception in Cochrane, and near Calgary city limits for guests to commute home after the wedding,” Pochapsky said. “We are lucky to have many great venues and business in the area to provide wedding services to engaged couples.”
