Active cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane rise to 48

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has increased. On Wednesday (Dec. 23) the town had a reported 48 cases of the virus. There have been a reported 218 cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane.

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has increased.

On Wednesday (Dec. 23) the town had a reported 48 cases of the virus. There have been a reported 218 cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane. To date, 169 people have recovered and one person has died.

In the last 24-hours, 1,391 COVID-19 cases have been identified in Alberta after the competition of 19,222 tests.

The current provincial positivity rate sits at 6.8 per cent.

There are currently 821 people hospitalized with COVID-19, including 146 patients in intensive care units.

The province reported an additional 19 COVID-19 related deaths. To date, 890 people have died.

There are 17,821 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
