Active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane drop to 44

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has dropped to 44. On Monday (Dec. 21) the town had a reported 44 active cases of COVID-19.

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has dropped to 44.

On Monday (Dec. 21) the town had a reported 44 active cases of COVID-19. To date, there have been 206 cases reported in Cochrane— 161 people have recovered from the virus and one person has died.

In Alberta, there were a reported 1,240 new cases of COVID-19 identified in the last 24 hours after the completion of 18,306 tests.

The current provincial positivity rate sits at 6.8 per cent.

There are 795 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized, including 151 in intensive care units.

There were an additional nine COVID-19 related deaths reported, bringing the provincial total to 860.

There are currently 19,165 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
