The Beaupre Artists’ Guild Show and Sale will be happening once again this year at the Beaupre Community Hall June 28-29.
The show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., features art from the Beaupre Artists’ Guild – a group that boasts 40 members.
Karen Orser, who has been involved in the last four shows, said she doesn’t know the exact number of pieces that will be at the show, but it should be around the same as last year’s number of 100.
Orser said around 15 members from the guild would be at the event and available to chat with attendees about their art or art in general. There will also be a draw for an original piece of art from one of the artists.
“I would encourage people to come out,” said Orser. “It’s a really lovely setting and there is lots of room for people to wander around and check out the art and enjoy the day.”
Orser said the art that is featured is based on what the artists want to bring to the table. There will be a wide variety of art at this year’s show according to Orser, including mixed media, oil painting and quilts.
There is no entry fee for the show and refreshments will be available.
Beaupre Community Hall is located just 15 minutes west of Cochrane on Hwy 1A.
