The lanes will be open this weekend, as the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Calgary and Area host their event Bowl for Kids Sake taking over Cochrane Lanes March 29.

Teams are required to have four to six bowlers and a minimum pledge amount of $400, as gathered through sponsorship or donation.

The goal is to raise $10,000, with proceeds going towards running BBBS programs in Cochrane.

Currently, there’s room for four more teams, with 24 teams planned to participate, including a Town of Cochrane team.

The two bowl times will be between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. as well as 5:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

For information on how to sign up to bowl or to become a sponsor of the event contact Sandra MacKenzie, program coordinator for Cochrane, at [email protected] or visit bfk.bbbscochrane.com.
