Chiniki First Nation Chief Aaron Young and council members are celebrating their inauguration today.
The March 25 ceremony commenced with a grand entry at the Goodstoney Rodeo Centre at noon with the inauguration to follow. A round dance will follow at 6:30 p.m.
Chief and council invite members of the Stoney Nakoda community to take part in the ceremony and encourage masking and social distancing at the event.
Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided on site.
