September is a special time for Cochrane film buffs.
It means the Chinook Film Group is back with its Fall Series of films.
Since 2004 the group has brought independent and alternatives films to Cochrane drawing in people who are looking for something other than the standard Hollywood fare.
This month’s selection is Last Cab To Darwin, an Australian film staring Michael Caton, which explores the legalization of euthanasia there in the mid 1990s.
The screening is at Sept. 21 at the Cochrane Movie House where the group will also preview some of its selections from their upcoming Winter Series, which starts in January.
Tickets cost $10 and are available The Gentry Espresso and Wine Bar as well as Tea...and other things.
