Cochrane active COVID-19 cases drop by one

On Wednesday (Dec. 16) the town had a reported 54 active cases of the virus. To date, there have been a reported 191 cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane and 136 people have recovered.

COCHRANE— Cochrane's active COVID-19 cases are continuing to decline.

On Wednesday (Dec. 16) the town had a reported 54 active cases of the virus. To date, there have been a reported 191 cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane and 136 people have recovered.

In Alberta, over the last 24-hours, 1,270 new cases of the virus have been detected using 17,569 tests.

The provincial positivity rate has also dropped and now sits at 7.3 per cent.

There are a reported 749 people in the hospital due to COVID-19, including 139 in intensive care units.

An additional 16 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded, bringing the provincial number of deaths to 760.

Currently, there are 20,169 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
