The holidays are coming earlier than expected with the return of the Cochrane Christmas Market at the Cochrane RancheHouse on Nov. 17.
The market will run from 10 a.m. from 4 p.m., with admission set for $3 per entry. With limited parking at the RancheHouse, complimentary shuttles will be offered to guests who park at the St. Timothy parking lot.
Judy Edge, co organizer of the market, explained that she has been bringing this event to the community for the last 15 years with help from her daughter Roz Edge.
“It just started as a little market that we were doing to promote local artisans in the Cochrane area, and now it’s a very large market with unique gifts for everyone,” Edge said.
This year, she said the market will host several vendors, performers, food trucks, and will also be collecting food donations.
“There are over 100 vendors and the RancheHouse is completely rented,” she said. “We’ll have two local choirs; Cochrane Sings and Choral Waves, and we’ll have local performers Marcello and a young busker named Hunter James.
“We’ll also be collecting food donations for the Cochrane Food Bank, and the Cochrane Lions Rodeo Queen will be making a visit.”
With the event a few weeks away, Edge said she looks forward to see the community at the upcoming market.
“Our signs are going up all over Cochrane, you’ll see them on all the main arteries,” Edge said. “We’re so excited to have it again.”
