The Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation (GRPF) was the recent recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Cochrane Foundation, which will be used to help purchase a new golf cart for educational tours.
The GRPF said they were grateful for the support of the Cochrane Foundation, and that the grant would help them purchase a second golf cart, allowing them to expand the already-popular program offered at the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park each summer.
“The Cochrane Foundation is pleased to support the GRPF and the wonderful services and programs they provide to Cochrane and area residents,” said Tim Harvie, chairman of the Cochrane Foundation. “Golf cart tours are a popular way to view the sprawling landscape, and demand has clearly outgrown their existing one-cart capacity.”
The Cochrane Foundation grant matches one from the Bow RiversEdge Campground Society and enables the GRPF to purchase an eight-person golf cart.
Golf cart tours commence May 19 and can be booked online at grpf.ca/events.
