Amazing Cochrane Culture Quest seeks volunteers
The Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee is looking to fill 10 more volunteer spots for the upcoming Amazing Cochrane Culture Quest on Sunday (Sept. 12). They’re looking to enlist more people to ambassador culture booths as well as to assist with parking. Ambassadors stamp passports, hand out clues and manage booth to ensure there are only three cars at a booth at one time. Those interested in volunteering should reach out to Sandra Scott at the Cochrane Immigrant Services Committee at [email protected] before the event date.
Cochrane Humane Society in urgent need of wet kitten food
The Cochrane and Area Humane Society has put out an urgent request to the community for help providing wet kitten food to the many young kittens currently in their care. They put out the call last week to request any donations be dropped off at the bin in front of the building. The preferred brand is Royal Canin but any brand of kitten food is acceptable. If unable to stop by the shelter, the Humane Society is encouraging donators to support local by contacting a pet store in town to place an order and they will arrange for pickup. Alternatively, they also have wet kitten food on their Amazon wish list which can be sent directly to the shelter.
