UPDATE: Motorcycle driver dies on scene in fatal collision near Morley

UPDATE: A 29-year-old male from Calgary, who was the sole occupant of the motorcycle involved in the collision, was declared deceased on scene.

Cochrane RCMP are currently at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision in Morley.

UPDATE: A 29-year-old male from Calgary, who was the sole occupant of the motorcycle involved in the collision, was declared deceased on scene.

Cochrane RCMP officers and emergency responders responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 1A and Branch Road, near Morley before 7:30 p.m. last night (June 21). 

Traffic in both directions was affected while officers were on scene investigating the incident.

Initial scene examinations indicate that the eastbound motorcycle may have lost control and collided with a westbound SUV. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

The two occupants of the SUV were not physically injured, according to RCMP.
