Cochrane reports 67 active cases of COVID-19

COCHRANE— In the last 24 hours, 67 active cases of COVID-19 were identified in Cochrane. As of Monday (Dec. 7), 156 cases have been reported in Cochrane and 89 people have recovered from the virus.

COCHRANE— In the last 24 hours, 67 active cases of COVID-19 were identified in Cochrane.

As of Monday (Dec. 7), 156 cases have been reported in Cochrane and 89 people have recovered from the virus.

In the province of Alberta, 1,735 new cases were identified and 20,358 tests were administered. The test positivity rate was 8.5 per cent.

There are 609 people in the hospital due to the virus, including 108 patients in intensive care.

An additional 16 COVID-related deaths have been reported. In total 631 Albertans have died due to the virus.

Legally Albertans are required to physically distance and isolate when sick or with symptoms of COVID-19 including runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever and shortness of breath.

The province continues to encourage Albertan's to practice good hygiene including washing hands regularly, avoiding touch your face, cough for sneezing into an elbow or sleeve and disposing of tissues appropriately to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
