Mom to mom sale
Time to clean out your closet for the semi-annual Mom to Mom sale on April 29.
The sale will feature a variety of gently used toys, books, baby gear, all age children’s clothing, maternity wear and summer goods. Organizers said vendors will be accepting cash or credit (depending on the booth) with a café on site. The spring sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.

Fireside Mascot
With Fireside scheduled to open this fall, the principal is reaching out to families looking for input for future team colours and names.
“ I believe it’s very important to include the community in these types of decisions. I hope it builds excitement and ownership of the school with students,” said Thomas Elbel.
Staff will be taking suggestions until the end of April where Rocky View Schools will then help build a logo and name to be adopted in the fall.
Clothesline expanding
The Clothesline, the gently used clothing store owned and operated by the Activettes, is expanding.
According to Clothesline chair Kathy Hubman, year-over-year sales have increased by 25 per cent and the new space (next door to their current store; former Bike Bros. location) offers double the space.
Hubman said the demand appears to be due to both the economic downturn and the desire to upcycle clothes and spend more wisely.
Closed next Monday and Tuesday, the new store will open Wednesday with a grand opening next month.
