Failure to stop leads to collision

Charges may be pending for the driver of a Honda Civic for failure to stop at a stop sign, which appeared to have resulted in a collision with a Toyota Tacoma at Lochend Rd. near Twp 262 on May 11.

Charges may be pending for the driver of a Honda Civic for failure to stop at a stop sign, which appeared to have resulted in a collision with a Toyota Tacoma at Lochend Rd. near Twp 262 on May 11.

Cochrane RCMP were dispatched to the two-vehicle collision around 9:50 p.m. The two occupants from each vehicle (four in total) were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The file is still under investigation.

Cochrane RCMP came across a three-vehicle collision at the Hwy 22 and Quigley Drive intersection around 5 p.m. on May 6.

While still under investigation, reports indicate that a black SUV crossed the southbound lane at the intersection, resulting in a head-on collision with another black SUV. A silver minivan was then struck.

All injuries were minor and charges may be pending for the driver of the SUV who crossed the southbound lane.

A seven-year-old girl who was riding her bike in the community of River Heights rode out into the street and was struck by a vehicle.

She was transported to hospital with injuries reported to be ‘very minor’. No charges have been laid.
