Cochrane Family Community and Support Services (FCSS) staff is busy collecting donations to purchase school supplies for the sixth annual ‘Backpack Program’.
The program aims to raise $3,500 to purchase school supplies and fill backpacks for Cochrane kids whose families find the beginning of the school year a financial challenge.
The generous donations of Cochrane and Rocky View residents, businesses and other donors reached 101 children last year.
The staff at FCSS needs to reach their goal by the last week of August, to ensure backpacks are ready for distribution before the school year begins.
