With a roster of projects on the go for the Rotary Club of Cochrane – local, national and international in nature – president Tom Wilk is hoping to see a lot of new faces this Nov. 20 at the Nan Boothby Library, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Rotary members will be sharing their upcoming projects and past accomplishments with future service club members for a slide show presentation at the library, complete with light refreshments.

“We are always looking for new members,” said Wilk, adding that there are currently 32 Cochrane service club members. “This is an opportunity to inform prospective members about what the Rotary Club of Cochrane is about.”

Wilk described the Rotary as a very unique service club, with lofty goals and projects that require passionate volunteers. With much involvement in youth support and development programs (Rotary Youth Exchange), Wilk said there are enough fundraising projects, including the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, to call upon any Cochranite who is able to donate their time to some very worthwhile causes.
