Mitford School will be hosting the fourth annual We Day on Nov. 17.
The day is dedicated to inspiring youth to give back to the local and global community. There will be two inspirational speakers in the morning – one from Cochrane who has worked with Habitat for Humanity and one who formerly lived in Mexico and began a charity to provide clothes and other necessities for those affected by hurricane Odile.
The students will then spend the afternoon crafting items to sell at the Mitford Christmas Market with proceeds to go towards Free the Children. The funds are also going towards the school’s efforts to raise $10,000 to build a school in Kenya, for which the school only needs $1,000 to complete the goal.
